Principal's Messege
Oki!
To all new and returning students and staff "Welcome to Tatsikiisaapo'p Middle School."
You have the right to a quality education guaranteed by our fore fathers when they signed Treaty 7 at Blackfoot Crossing. The people of Kainai have been described as brave, courageous and hard working. do not undermine your ancestors, family, your school and your community by acting in a mean-spirited manner - it is nt our way. Respect is our way of life.
Set your goals for each day and work toward long-term goals. Each morning as you meet in your advisory class, write out daily goals and the steps to reach this goal. Practice this every day and you will gain a god habit that will last a lifetime. To help you and inform your parents/guardians, your teachers will be sending home weekly progress and attendance reports. In this way, problems can be addressed immediately.
I encourage all of you to take advantage of the classes and programs offered at TMS. We follow the Alberta curriculum, like all schools in Alberta; we have a strong Blackfoot language and cultural program and offer individual programs if needed. Remember we are all unique and have different levels of ability. DO YOUR BEST EACH DAY.
